Research, Development and Innovation (RDI)
Welcome to the Research Development & Innovation (RDI) Department at Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (MWL).
MWL has two research sites and five locations:
- WSN – Whiston Hospital, St Helens Hospital and Newton Hospital
- S&O – Southport Hospital and Ormskirk Hospital
Each site has a Research Management Team (RMT) that provides oversight, Sponsorship and MWL RDI Permission (Confirmation of Capacity & Capability/NHS Permission/Green Light) for research studies.
