Acoustic pods are available at Southport and Whiston libraries.

Southport - Hanley Library

There are three pods for individual users at Southport.

They are available 24/7 on a drop in basis but can be reserved using the booking form above if you require a pod at a specific time.

Whiston - Nightingale House

There are two one-person pods and two 4-person pods available to book at Whiston if you require a space for quiet conversation – whether in person or online.

They are available Monday - Friday for up to 2 hrs between 9am - 5pm. Please use the booking form above.

Please note:

• The pods are available for teaching, study and meetings where you will be in conversation.
• Please vacate the pod promptly at the end of your booking, having ensured all spaces are clear and tidy. Please inform a member of library staff when you have finished.
• Acoustic pods lower noise levels but are not totally sound proof and we would ask you to be considerate of confidentiality as well as other library users.
• You can take bottles of water into the pods, but no other food or hot drinks are permitted.
